Living the Dream: Why I’m Running Again for State Representative
“Living the Dream.” That’s how I usually answer when someone asks how I’m doing.
And it’s not just something I say—I truly believe it. I am blessed by God.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats. I grew up working on our family farm. I spent time in construction. I served as a K-State Extension Agent and led efforts at the Cherokee County Economic Development Corporation. Most recently, I’ve had the honor of representing you as the District 1 Kansas State Representative.
Each of these roles has shaped how I see the challenges and opportunities facing Kansans today.
The 2024 election sent a clear message: politics as usual is no longer acceptable. Kansans want common sense back in government—a place where family values are upheld, not replaced by radical ideology. Where our Constitution is respected not as an old relic, but as a living blueprint for freedom and responsibility.
Kansas should be a place of opportunity—but also one of accountability. I’m proud to say that in 2024, many like-minded individuals were elected alongside me. Together, we’ve served with those convictions in mind.
This past legislative session in Topeka was both rewarding and eye-opening. I met Kansans from all walks of life and gained a broader perspective on the issues that matter most. While I’m proud of the progress we made, there is still much more to do.
We made necessary cuts to the state budget, but spending still outpaces revenue. It’s time to tighten our belts further and return more money to you—the hard-working taxpayers. We must also demand greater accountability from our state agencies. Programs should deliver real results. If they’re not working, they should be fixed—or phased out.
Every day, I’m honored to serve the people of Kansas. I don’t take that responsibility lightly.
With your support, I would be proud to continue this work—to represent District 1 for another term, bringing common sense, conservative values, and real-world experience to Topeka.
